Velda Qualls, 65, of Mount Ida, Arkansas passed away May 12, 2019 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home surrounded by her family. She was born July 6, 1953 in Mount Ida, AR to the late Reuben and Betty Pauline Qualls. Velda is preceded in death by both parents, brother, G. W. Qualls, and sisters, Jackie Willis, Mary Lou Santillion, and Kathy Huff.
Velda is survived by daughter Donna Nix and husband Jack, grandchildren, Brandon and Megan Abernathy, Zack and Sarah Abernathy, and Ava Nix, great grandchildren, Baylor Abernathy, Braylnn Abernathy, and Ashtyn Abernathy, brother, Tommy Brown, sister, Sandy Clay, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. at Muddy Creek Church of God in Story, AR. Graveside service will follow visitation Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Reed Cemetery with Bro Josh Harper officiating. Pallbearers: Brandon Abernathy, Zack Abernathy, Donnie Qualls, Harold Qualls, Johnny Hackney, Ray Beechy, Travis Beechy, and Kevin Weston.
